Taxes and fares
Citizens of 4 countries must pay a reciprocity entrance fee in cash at the Santiago International Airport Immigration Office. Up-to-date the entrance fees are: U.S.A. US$ 100, Australia US$ 30, Canada US$ 55 and Mexico US$ 15. This tax is applied to countries that charge Chilean nationals a fee to process visas.
Facilities
The Santiago International Airport "Com. Arturo Merino Benitez", and the following airports: Arica (Chacalluta), Antofagasta (Cerro Moreno), Iquique (Cavancha), Puerto Montt (Tepual), Punta Arenas (Pdte. Ibañez) and Temuco (Maquehue) have police and immigration services, customs and all other basic facilities. Every airport servicing domestic flights has equivalent facilities but the number and variety of these depend on the size and importance of the airport.

Customs
Foreign travelers must pass through customs inspection when entering the country. If you are carrying only personal items you shouldn't have any problems, but don't bring:
- Fruits, seeds, vegetables or non-processed animal products.
- Fire arms, ammunition or explosives.
- Illegal drugs.
